Cognitive Based Individual Therapy
It all starts somewhere. Usually in our thoughts, then our thoughts turn to feelings, then turns to actions. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which uses the idea that if we can identify our unhelpful thought patterns, we then can discover behaviors that will help us move towards helpful feelings and thoughts. Through practice, the helpful thoughts will take over and you will be on your way to living a more fulfilling and satisfied life.
Along with CBT, I use other cognitive interventions such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness techniques.
